1. Hamsa Nandini's Health Update and Cancer Journey

Feb 2023: Hamsa Nandini, who was diagnosed with Grade III Invasive Carcinoma (Breast Cancer) in 2021, has updated her Instagram followers on her health status. The actress, who has appeared in Telugu films such as Mirchi and Legend, reported feeling “great.” Hamsa has also released a video discussing the changes that have occurred over the past year. Hasma is first seen in a restaurant. She appears lovely in a black dress. The accompanying text read, “One year ago…” A few seconds later, Hamsa can be seen enjoying the beach. However, she desires that the world admire her hair. “Hello, hair,” the text on it reads. Her caption read, “A great deal can occur in a year… And I am feeling good.” She chose the Michael Bublé song Feeling Good for the background music.

No matter what life throws at me, no matter how unfair it may seem, I refuse to play the victim. I refuse to be ruled by fear, pessimism, and negativity. I refuse to quit. With courage and love, I will push forward. She wrote on Twitter. Check the post below.

In December 2021, Hamsa Nandini disclosed her breast cancer diagnosis for the first time. Previously, the actress posted a photo of herself alongside a lengthy note. She wrote, “I refuse to play the victim no matter what life throws at me or how unfair it may appear. I refuse to allow fear, pessimism, and negativity to control me. I refuse to quit. I will persevere with courage and affection. I noticed a tiny lump in my breast four months ago. In that instant, I realised that my life would never be the same. I had lost my mother to a terrible disease 18 years ago, and I had since lived under its shadow. I was terrified.”

Diagnosis, Treatment, and BRCA1 Mutation

In December 2021, Hamsa Nandini disclosed her breast cancer diagnosis for the first time. Previously, the actress posted a photo of herself alongside a lengthy note. She wrote, “I refuse to play the victim no matter what life throws at me or how unfair it may appear. I refuse to allow fear, pessimism, and negativity to control me. I refuse to quit. I had lost my mother to a terrible disease 18 years ago, and I had since lived under its shadow. I was terrified.”

She added, in reference to the diagnosis, “Within a couple of hours, I was at a mammography clinic having the lump examined. I was instructed to meet with a surgical oncologist immediately, who recommended a biopsy. The biopsy confirmed my worst fears, and I was diagnosed with breast cancer of grade III invasiveness.

Following the removal of her tumor, Hamsa Nandini was diagnosed with Grade III invasive carcinoma (breast cancer). She stated, “The relief was only momentary as I tested positive for BRCA1 (hereditary breast cancer). This indicates that I have a genetic mutation that virtually guarantees a 70% chance of developing breast cancer and a 45% chance of developing ovarian cancer in the future. Before I can claim victory, the only way to mitigate the risk is to undergo a series of extensive preventative surgeries. I have already completed 9 cycles of chemotherapy and have 7 more to go.
