BISPECIFIC CAR-T

CD19/CD22 BISPECIFIC
CAR-T THERAPY

CD19/CD22 bispecific CAR-T targets two antigens simultaneously β€” reducing antigen escape, the main cause of CD19 CAR-T relapse. China leads global clinical experience.

Why Bispecific Targeting Matters

Single-antigen CD19 CAR-T fails in 30–50% of patients due to antigen escape β€” cancer cells lose CD19 and become invisible. Targeting CD19 and CD22 simultaneously makes escape much harder.

  • CD19 Antigen Escape

CD19-negative relapse occurs in 30–50% of patients after CD19 CAR-T. The cancer mutates to stop expressing CD19 β€” making the therapy blind to it.

  • CD22 as a Complementary Target

CD22 is expressed on most B-cell cancers independently of CD19. Targeting both requires the cancer to lose two antigens simultaneously to escape β€” a much rarer event.
