Yuankai Shi

MD, PhD

Prof. Yuankai Shi (ηŸ³θΏœε‡―), MD, PhD, is a senior medical oncologist and lymphoma specialist at the National Cancer Center and Cancer Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and Peking Union Medical College in Beijing. He is a chief physician, professor and doctoral supervisor with a long-standing focus on lymphoma, hematologic malignancies and the clinical development of innovative anticancer medicines.

Over a career spanning more than two decades, Prof. Shi has helped shape the practice of medical oncology and anticancer drug research in China. His clinical work covers chemotherapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy and clinical trials of new medicines, with particular depth in Hodgkin lymphoma, non-Hodgkin lymphoma and multiple myeloma. He has led nationally important clinical research, including the ORIENT-1 study of the anti-PD-1 immunotherapy sintilimab in relapsed or refractory classical Hodgkin lymphoma. He is a frequent author and editor of Chinese cancer treatment guidelines and expert consensus documents, and is recognised for supporting the introduction of new treatment options for patients with difficult-to-treat cancers. His profile is especially relevant for patients with newly diagnosed, relapsed or refractory lymphoma who are weighing intensive treatment decisions or exploring clinical-trial options in China.
