Prof. Dr. med. Ulrich Keilholz is a senior medical oncologist and Director of the Charité Comprehensive Cancer Center (CCCC) at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin. With over 25 years of clinical and academic experience, he is one of Europe's leading specialists in melanoma, head and neck cancer, cancer immunotherapy, and precision oncology.

Prof. Keilholz trained at the Universities of Mainz, Heidelberg, and Lexington (USA), receiving his German medical licence in 1983 and completing his doctoral thesis at Heidelberg in 1984. He undertook a formative research fellowship under Prof. Steven A. Rosenberg at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda in 1986, an early influence on his deep engagement with cancer immunology. He achieved board certifications in Internal Medicine (1990) and Hematology and Medical Oncology (1993), followed by a Habilitation in Internal Medicine at Heidelberg. His career at Charité spans senior academic and leadership positions, including Full Professor of Comprehensive Oncology and Director of the CCCC since 2013. Since 2023 he has also served as Co-Director and Speaker of the National Center for Tumor Diseases (NCT) Berlin branch. His research programme encompasses the design and leadership of more than 60 clinical trials across phases Ia to III, with a particular focus on translational cancer immunology and multilevel molecular cancer profiling.
