Dr. Tejinder Kataria is the Chairperson of Radiation Oncology at Medanta - The Medicity, Gurugram. She is a senior radiation oncologist with more than 35 years of experience in precision radiotherapy for solid tumours.

Dr. Kataria has helped build advanced radiation oncology programmes across India, having established the Department of Radiation Oncology at Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute, New Delhi, and at Artemis Health Institute, Gurugram, before setting up the Division of Radiation Oncology at Medanta. She introduced India's first Infinity Linear Accelerator with Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy and North India's first Integrated Brachytherapy Unit, and commissioned advanced stereotactic radiation including CyberKnife treatment at Medanta. Her clinical focus is precision radiation therapy for breast, prostate, lung and brain tumours, using IMRT, IGRT, VMAT, SBRT, SRS and brachytherapy. She has been associated with the QUATRO Asia team of the International Atomic Energy Agency since 2005 and has contributed to national committees on cancer treatment under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.
