Yes. A second-opinion request can be submitted through CancerFax with the patient's pathology reports, molecular profiling results, imaging, and treatment history. Dr. Yoshino's team is particularly well placed to review complex colorectal cancer cases involving biomarker selection, treatment sequencing, or clinical trial eligibility. Consultation format and availability are subject to institutional protocols.

Yes. Dr. Yoshino has been a principal investigator or steering committee member on landmark international trials including BEACON CRC, FRESCO-2, and the PARADIGM trial. The National Cancer Center Hospital East continues to run investigational programmes for colorectal and other gastrointestinal cancers. Eligibility for specific trials depends on individual patient criteria and current study availability.

Biomarker-guided treatment uses molecular testing โ€” such as RAS, KRAS, BRAF, HER2, and MSI status โ€” to identify which therapies are most likely to work for a specific patient's tumour. Dr. Yoshino is internationally recognised for advancing this approach in colorectal cancer, helping patients avoid therapies unlikely to benefit them and guiding selection of targeted or immunotherapy options where appropriate.
