Dr. Saad Z. Usmani is a leading hematologist-oncologist and myeloma specialist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, where he serves as Chief of the Myeloma Service. He has more than 14 years of focused experience treating patients with multiple myeloma, smoldering myeloma, MGUS, light chain amyloidosis, and related plasma-cell disorders.

Dr. Usmani received his medical education at Allama Iqbal Medical College in Lahore, Pakistan, and completed residency training at Sinai-Grace Hospital/Wayne State University in Detroit before undertaking a fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at the University of Connecticut Health Center. He built his academic career first at the Myeloma Institute for Research & Therapy at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, then as inaugural Division Chief of Plasma Cell Disorders and Director of Clinical Research for Hematologic Malignancies at Levine Cancer Institute/Atrium Health, before joining MSK in 2021. He has authored or co-authored more than 370 peer-reviewed manuscripts, contributed to development of anti-CD38 monoclonal antibodies, bispecific antibodies, and CAR T-cell therapies, and holds faculty appointment as Professor of Clinical Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College.
