Dr. S. Vincent Rajkumar is a Professor of Medicine and consultant in the Division of Hematology and Division of Hematopathology at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota. He holds the Edward W. and Betty Knight Scripps Professor of Medicine chair and chairs the Myeloma Amyloidosis Dysproteinemia Group at Mayo Clinic. He is internationally recognised as one of the foremost authorities on multiple myeloma, amyloidosis, and related plasma cell disorders.

Dr. Rajkumar trained at Christian Medical College, Vellore, before completing his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of North Dakota and his fellowship in Hematology and Medical Oncology at Mayo Graduate School of Medicine. Over his career at Mayo Clinic, he has served as principal investigator on multiple pivotal clinical trials in myeloma, including studies that contributed to the US regulatory approval of thalidomide for multiple myeloma. His research spans biomarker development, novel therapies, epidemiology, racial disparities in plasma cell disorders, and clinical trial design.
