Prof. Pamela N. Munster is a Professor of Medicine in Hematology and Oncology at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), and a senior medical oncologist at UCSF Health. She is a faculty member at the UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center, where she leads the Early Phase Clinical Trials Unit and serves as Co-Director of the UCSF Center for BRCA Research.

Prof. Munster completed her medical degree at the University of Heidelberg, Germany, followed by residency training in internal medicine at the University of Wisconsin and a fellowship in haematology-oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Over more than two decades at UCSF, she has built a clinical and research programme centred on breast cancer, early-phase oncology drug development, targeted therapy, and the biology of therapy resistance. Her scientific work focuses on epigenetic modification, epigenetic priming to improve treatment response, and BRCA-related cancer risk.
