He subsequently pursued a medical oncology fellowship at the National Cancer Institute, National Institutes of Health (NCI/NIH), USA, where he served as Chief Fellow and conducted research in lymphoma biology with an internationally recognised translational research group. After returning to Singapore in 2010, he joined the Department of Medical Oncology at the National Cancer Centre Singapore before establishing his current practice at OncoCare. His clinical and research focus includes lymphoma, multiple myeloma, leukaemia, breast cancer, gynaecological cancers, sarcomas, melanoma, brain tumours, and HIV-related cancers. He is also Chairperson of the Children's Cancer Foundation, Singapore.
