Jie Wang
MD, PhD
Prof. Jie Wang is a senior thoracic medical oncologist and one of China's leading specialists in lung cancer treatment, precision oncology and translational research. She is Chair of the Medical Oncology Division at the National Cancer Center and Cancer Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences (CAMS) in Beijing, and a tenured professor at Peking Union Medical College.
With more than three decades of clinical experience, Prof. Wang focuses on the multidisciplinary management of lung cancer and other thoracic malignancies, including complex and advanced cases that need biomarker-guided targeted therapy, immunotherapy and carefully planned combination treatment. She is recognised for her work in molecular subtyping and personalised treatment selection in non-small cell and small-cell lung cancer. Her research has helped establish non-invasive molecular profiling using circulating tumour DNA as an important tool for treatment selection and disease monitoring. She has published more than 150 articles as a corresponding author in journals including The Lancet Oncology, Cancer Cell, The Lancet Respiratory Medicine and the Journal of Clinical Oncology, and has led or co-led major phase III lung cancer trials. In 2023 she received the IASLC Heine H. Hansen Lectureship Award.
CancerFax can coordinate medical-report review and second-opinion support for international patients seeking an opinion from Prof. Wang, subject to hospital availability and case acceptance.
