Jedd Wolchok

BA, MS, PhD, MD, FASCO, FAACR, FAIO

Dr. Jedd D. Wolchok is a physician-scientist and one of the most internationally recognised clinician-researchers in cancer immunotherapy. He is the Meyer Director of the Sandra and Edward Meyer Cancer Center at Weill Cornell Medicine and Professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College, where he also leads the Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy Center.

Dr. Wolchok trained at Princeton University and New York University, earning his MS, PhD, and MD from NYU before completing residency and fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where he spent over two decades in clinical and research leadership. He played a central role in the clinical development of ipilimumab and the nivolumab-plus-ipilimumab combination, both of which transformed outcomes in advanced melanoma. In 2022, he joined Weill Cornell Medicine to lead the Meyer Cancer Center. His NIH R01-funded laboratory investigates immune resistance, tumour microenvironment biology, cancer vaccines, and novel immunotherapy strategies. With more than 30 years of post-MD experience and over 248,000 research citations, Dr. Wolchok is a member of the National Academy of Medicine and a recipient of the ASCO David Karnofsky Award.
