Dr. Li focuses on solid tumours, including lung, breast, gastric, colorectal, pancreatic, liver, and head and neck cancers. He has particular experience with advanced, recurrent, metastatic or difficult-to-treat disease that may benefit from a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach.

His approach combines surgical oncology, chemotherapy planning, minimally invasive therapies such as argon-helium cryoablation and hyperthermia, biological targeted therapy, and gene-therapy-related strategies where suitable. Treatment plans are developed through multidisciplinary team review and tailored to each patient's diagnosis and condition.
