Ayala Hubert

MD, Oncology & Radiotherapy

Prof. Ayala Hubert is a senior gastrointestinal oncologist at Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem, Israel, where she heads the Center for Treatment of Digestive Tract Cancer. She also serves as Director of the Gastrointestinal Tumors Unit and Deputy Director of the Sharett Institute of Oncology at Hadassah.

With senior oncology roles at Hadassah dating to the late 1990s, Prof. Hubert has built one of Israel's most specialised digestive tract cancer programmes within the academic environment of the Sharett Institute of Oncology. Her clinical practice covers the full spectrum of gastrointestinal malignancies — colon, rectal, oesophageal, stomach, pancreatic, biliary tract, liver, small bowel and anal cancers — across pre-operative, adjuvant and metastatic stages. She works within a multidisciplinary model that brings together oncology, surgery, radiology, nuclear medicine and pathology teams to plan individualised treatment for each patient. Prof. Hubert has also contributed to PubMed-indexed research in locally advanced pancreatic cancer, KRAS-targeted investigational therapy, colorectal cancer genetics, gastric cancer systemic therapy and palliative management of malignant biliary obstruction.
